Laia Costa and
Frederick Lau both played out of hell. Sturla Grøvlen with the hand
camera is the unseen most important character of this movie. Through his
eyes the audience is always close to the action. Changing loyalties,
trust, human longings are the driving forces of live. Sometimes leading
to happiness, sometimes to disaster. Victoria is the wonder of a young
Spanish girl, strolling around through the night, in Berlin. Curious
about the mind of other people, open-hearted, just here at the moment.
Everything can (and will) happen to her. Something in you will long for
her innocent way to look at live and to trust in people. Something in
you will - at the same time - feel all the danger of such a state, in
which everything can happen. Don't let this film pass you unseen!!
Sebastian Schipper and Laia Costa may not have too many opportunities to
make such a once-in-a-life-movie. Please, Germany, nominate this one
for Oscar - most of it is English spoken anyway.
